Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu was founded by James Weed, a student of Walter Cascao the founder of Cascao Jiu Jitsu. Which is why it is called Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu.
“My greatest achievement in my Jiu Jitsu journey is helping my students achieve greatness in their Jiu Jitsu Journey”
-James Weed-
James Weed is a 3rd degree black belt under Walter Cascão. He is a multiple time IBJJF Open Champion and a Black Belt Pan-American medalist, but despite those, or any of his other tournament achievements, what gives James the most pride is watching his friends/students achieve their goals, both on and off the mats!
Nearly a decade ago, James and his wife moved from Las Vegas to Spokane, and in that short time he has not only helped put Spokane on the BJJ map by building from scratch a team of World and Pan-American champions at every belt color, but also has the honor of being the head BJJ Coach of Spokane’s favorite fighter, Michael Chiesa, as he climbs the ranks in the UFC welterweight division.
Whether you are a competitor, or not, if you would like to see how BJJ can change your life, then be sure to reach out to James at Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu, so we can get you started today.
Walter Cascao is a 4th Degree Black Belt. He has more then 17 years teaching and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Walter moved from Brazil to Las Vegas where he has built one of the top teams in all of North America and now we are proud to announce Cascao Jiu Jitsu has arrived in Spokane.
